Grow Your Game pt 1

DISCLAIMER:  This is a sponsored post.  I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Dad Central for ROGAINE®. I received a product sample and promotional item to thank me for participating.

The guys at ROGAINE have a program in conjunction with Men’s Health Magazine called “Grow Your Game“.

Yes. That’s really what it’s called.

Aanywhoo, It’s a decent lifestyle blog, and I’m hopeful it will continue to grow organically.  It’s headed by Bill Rancic, who was the first winner of “The Apprentice”.  He is serving as ROGAINE’s “growth coach”.

Yes. That’s really what it’s called.

As far as growing my game, this dovetails rather nicely for me.  I’m at a time in my life where I can really sit down and ask myself  “what do I want my life to look like?”  What does God want from me?  How should I best invest my time, talent, and treasure? Where should I move? How can I best lead my daughters in to being wonderful women?  How can I best encourage my wife to thrive?

I’m a goalsetter and listmaker. I set 3, 6, and 9 month goals and regularly revisit them. I do most of my goalsetting on my birthday, and revisit them periodically. More than any years in my adult life, I’m up for a huge change. I’m leaving the Air Force and moving clear across the country. I’m re-entering the civilian world after 13 years- I’m a little worried I may not have the social skills and cues to succeed.

And on a smaller scale (less important, but still important) than the big life questions:

Where do I see my jiu jitsu going?
I set goals for that, too. I actually have it all typed out, and I’m going to be reviewing my gameplan with my instructor. He’ll help me fine tune this and keep me on track. After that meeting,  I’ll post my gameplan and we can dialogue.
That’s how I’m growing my game. Also, I am totally using ROGAINE for real, even though hair product and jiu jitsu don’t mix. It’s too early to see results, but goals are reached gradually. The product is an easy to use odorless, colorless foam. I will update often.
