I am originally from Ewa Beach, Hawai’i. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my wife and three daughters, one of whom has Dravet Syndrome. I am a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu blue belt, a rudeboy, a terrible skateboarder, a craftsman, a lifelong Madonna fan, a hardcore kid, a warrior poet, a washed-up backpack rapper, a good listener, uncomfortable writing this, an enthusiastic user of Evernote, a musician, and a very good cook. I’m passionate about social justice, setting and crushing goals, and creating meaningful dialogue. I particularly enjoy creating a dialogue about men and mental illness and emotional vulnerability/transparency. In addition to blogging at A Bareknuckled Affair, my work has appeared at The Good Men Project and The Daily Dot. I am interested in submitting content for blogs/websites/journals and collaborating on projects, to include reviews and giveaways. Connect with me on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google+. I also have a collection of humor/fiction pieces on Medium. Thanks for stopping by.
